Finesse Social ("we", "us", "our") is committed to handling your personal information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have regarding your information. If anything here is unclear, we'd rather you ask than guess — get in touch.
Who we are
Finesse Social is a content-led social agency based in Sydney, Australia. We work with Australian trades and home service businesses to build brand authority through short-form video content, social management, and paid lead generation campaigns.
What information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our services, respond to enquiries, and manage our business. This typically includes:
Information you give us directly
- Your name, business name, phone number, email address, and suburb when you enquire through our website, email us, or fill in a lead form from one of our ads
- Details about your trade, industry, and what you're looking for help with
- Any other information you choose to share with us during conversations, calls, or discovery sessions
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical information when you visit our website (for example, device type, browser, approximate location based on IP address) — this is standard server and hosting data, used to keep the site running and secure
- We do not currently use marketing trackers or analytics pixels on our website. If that changes, we'll update this policy and list them explicitly
Information from third parties
- If you submit a lead through a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ad, we receive the details you entered into that form — typically name, email, phone number, and business name
How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiry and have an initial conversation about how we might work together
- Provide, manage, and deliver the services you've engaged us for
- Send you relevant communications about the work we're doing together (project updates, invoices, scheduling)
- Follow up with you if you've expressed interest in our services but haven't yet decided
- Keep our internal records, CRM, and financial systems accurate and up to date
- Meet any legal, regulatory, or tax obligations we have as an Australian business
We will never sell your personal information. We will never share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Third-party services we use
To run our business, we rely on a small number of trusted technology providers. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase — our database provider. Stores contact and lead information
- Resend — our transactional email provider. Sends notification and account emails
- Netlify — our website hosting provider
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — where we run paid advertising campaigns and collect lead form submissions
- Google Workspace — our email and productivity platform
Some of these providers store or process data outside of Australia (for example, in the United States or Europe). Where this happens, we only use providers that have appropriate data protection practices and industry-standard security measures.
How we protect your information
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Measures we have in place include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across all of our web properties
- Access controls on our internal systems so that only the right people can access specific information
- Two-factor authentication on our critical business accounts
- Regular review of our systems, access permissions, and third-party providers
No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure. While we do everything reasonable to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes we collected it for, or as required by law. If we lose contact with you and don't end up working together, we'll generally remove your details from our active systems after a reasonable period — typically within 24 months.
Financial and invoice records are kept for 7 years to comply with Australian tax law.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Ask us to delete your personal information (subject to any legal record-keeping obligations we have)
- Withdraw your consent to us contacting you at any time
- Make a complaint about how we've handled your personal information
To exercise any of these rights, just email us at adam@finessesocial.au. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe — usually within a few business days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies and tracking
Our website does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Your browser may store small amounts of technical data (for example, to remember you've accepted this policy if that changes), but we don't use cookies to track your behaviour across other sites or to target you with ads.
If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we'll update this policy and — where required — show a cookie banner so you can choose what you're comfortable with.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we change the services we offer, adopt a new tool, or if the law changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to let you know directly.
Questions? Just ask.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, how we handle your information, or you want to exercise any of the rights listed above, send an email to adam@finessesocial.au. A real person (Adam) will respond.
