Finesse Social ("we", "us", "our") is committed to handling your personal information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have regarding your information. If anything here is unclear, we'd rather you ask than guess — get in touch.

Who we are

Finesse Social is a content-led social agency based in Sydney, Australia. We work with Australian trades and home service businesses to build brand authority through short-form video content, social management, and paid lead generation campaigns.

What information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our services, respond to enquiries, and manage our business. This typically includes:

Information you give us directly

Information collected automatically

Information from third parties

How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

We will never sell your personal information. We will never share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-party services we use

To run our business, we rely on a small number of trusted technology providers. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

Some of these providers store or process data outside of Australia (for example, in the United States or Europe). Where this happens, we only use providers that have appropriate data protection practices and industry-standard security measures.

How we protect your information

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Measures we have in place include:

No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure. While we do everything reasonable to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes we collected it for, or as required by law. If we lose contact with you and don't end up working together, we'll generally remove your details from our active systems after a reasonable period — typically within 24 months.

Financial and invoice records are kept for 7 years to comply with Australian tax law.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, just email us at adam@finessesocial.au. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe — usually within a few business days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies and tracking

Our website does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Your browser may store small amounts of technical data (for example, to remember you've accepted this policy if that changes), but we don't use cookies to track your behaviour across other sites or to target you with ads.

If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we'll update this policy and — where required — show a cookie banner so you can choose what you're comfortable with.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we change the services we offer, adopt a new tool, or if the law changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to let you know directly.

Questions? Just ask.

If you have any questions about this privacy policy, how we handle your information, or you want to exercise any of the rights listed above, send an email to adam@finessesocial.au. A real person (Adam) will respond.
